About Us

For the Preservation and Restoration of the East Village for its Residents

East Village Cares is a local online organization dedicated to working with all members of the community in order to solve East Village issues. Our focus is on making sure that everyone in East Village has a say regarding local neighborhood issues that affect the community as a whole. Our leadership is composed of local community leaders and advocates who have come together for the purpose of preserving the East Village for its residents first and foremost.

The most important part of the East Village is its community. We must all work together and make all our voices heard in order to solve the important issues we face. We must let our city know that our culture, history, and community matter, and that the East Village will not shy away from addressing the happenings in our neighborhood.

The EVC community is diverse, with membership consisting of local leaders and advocates, small business owners, and residents with the community’s best interests in mind. Please check out our active campaigns on our “Petition” and “Sign” pages and do your part in showing that the East Village CARES!

Our main goals are:

To protect landmarks, historic locations, and all aspects of our local culture
To promote small businesses in the neighborhood and to keep any special interests in check
To stand up against those who want to hinder efforts to preserve the village
To spread awareness of important neighborhood issues and make sure the community is well informed

The community’s mantra is, “Enough, is enough!”
